19-year-old and passenger killed after car goes down embankment in Vista

VISTA, CA – Two people, including a 19-year-old driver, were killed in a collision northeast of Vista late Thursday night, according to the Times of San Diego.

The accident happened near Lawrence Welk Lane and Lawrence Welk Court at about 10:30 p.m., when the 19-year-old driver of a 2016 Toyota Scion went down the side of an embankment.

The 19-year-old, who was a resident of Vista, and his male passenger died at the scene.

Their identities were not immediately released pending family notification.
