2 boys on bikes struck, seriously injured by driver in Nestor

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to ABC 10 News, two boys, aged 12 and 13, were on bicycles when they were struck and seriously injured by a driver in the Nestor area on Sunday.

Authorities say the accident took place shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday evening on the 900 block of Saturn Boulevard. A 37-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Jetta was traveling south on Saturn Boulevard when he crashed into the two boys on bikes who were riding across the road from east to west.

Both boys lost consciousness in the impact and the 12-year-old boy was given CPR at the scene. They were then transported to a nearby hospital for treatment with life threatening injuries.
