6-year-old killed in rollover crash in Kensington

KENSINGTON, CA – According to ABC10 News, a 6-year-old boy was killed after being involved in a rollover crash in Kensington on Wednesday.

The accident took place shortly before 8:00 a.m. near the intersection of Adams Avenue and Biona Drive when a father was driving his two young children in an SUV. First responders at the scene found the SUV rolled over on its side and resting on a fire hydrant.

The 6-year-old boy was trapped inside the vehicle and was extricated in under 30 minutes. He was then transported to the Children’s Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Both the father and his other child in the vehicle survived the accident.

The other driver involved in the crash was a 20-year-old female. Authorities have not shared whether or not she was injured in the collision.
