71-year-old woman injured in Mission Valley hit-and-run

SAN DIEGO, CA – A 71-year-old woman was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver in the Mission Valley area on Wednesday afternoon last week.

According to NBC News San Diego, the accident happened outside the Lowe’s in the Fenton Marketplace at about 2:15 p.m. The elderly victim was on foot when she was struck by a gold Honda Accord.

The driver did not stop to help the victim, who had broken bones and head injuries. She was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

Police have released a description of the 2003 four-door sedan, including its license plate number: 4ZNN918, in an attempt to find the driver with the public’s help. The car also had front-end damage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities.
