Accident shuts down I-805 SB offramp near University City

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities were called to a wreck Friday afternoon on an Interstate 805 exit ramp in north San Diego’s University City area, according to Caltrans San Diego.

The collision occurred on the Exit 23 ramp connecting I-805 southbound to State Route 52 eastbound. It was first recorded by Caltrans at 1:18 p.m.

The cause of the accident was not immediately clear, but all lanes on the ramp were blocked as a result.

No estimated clearance time was announced following the initial report, and no major injuries have been confirmed.
