Anaheim- Driver Dead And 3 Passengers Injured In A Crash on 91 Freeway

A young male driver was killed after he was ejected from his vehicle in a crash on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim early Friday morning, June 14, 2019. The 3 passengers in the said driver’s vehicle all sustained moderate injuries. The crash took place in the westbound lanes east of La Palma Avenue. The crash site was close to the 51 Freeway. The crash reportedly occurred at around 1:50 in the morning. According to investigators, the driver made an “unsafe turning movement to the left,” thus, the car struck a metal guard rail. The driver was identified as a 21-year old Vista resident. He reportedly landed on the freeway after being ejected from his vehicle. Investigators were trying to figure out if the driver was struck by a vehicle while he was on the freeway. The driver died at the accident site. The driver was identified as Joseph Salcido. The driver and his 3 passengers were all from Vista, in San Diego county. The 3 passengers were all male, aged 19 or 20.
