Authorities respond to hit-and-run on H St in Chula Vista

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — A hit-and-run crash was reported Friday afternoon on H Street in Chula Vista, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident was reported near the intersection with Woodlawn Avenue, in an area east of the Interstate 5 ramps and west of Chula Vista Center. Dispatchers were first alerted shortly before 1:00 p.m.

At this time, officials have not disclosed the circumstances of the event, but the victim’s vehicle was last reported in the the center divider of the roadway, with its hazard signals on.

The CHP has not released a description of the fleeing vehicle, but it was reportedly last seen just north of E Street.

No injuries have been confirmed as of this writing.
