Car accident reported on I-15 in Escondido

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to Caltrans San Diego, authorities closed down lanes on Interstate 15 after a traffic collision on Thursday morning

An accident was reported on I-15 southbound near Via Rancho Parkway Parkway at about 7 a.m.

Authorities closed down the righthand HOV lane and the left-hand southbound lane while they cleared the scene. The area was reopened at about 7:30 a.m.

It is unclear whether anyone was injured in the accident or how many vehicles were involved. We will keep this story updated as information becomes available.
