CHP responds to collision on I-15 SB in Tierrasanta

SAN DIEGO, CA — At least two vehicles were involved in a crash Thursday afternoon on Interstate 15 in San Diego’s Tierrasanta neighborhood, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on the southbound lanes approaching Balboa Avenue and was first reported at 3:52 p.m.

Officials have not said what led up to the crash, but all involved vehicles were in the roadway’s center divider at the time of the initial report.

Two vehicles, a black BMW and a white Ford Fusion, required tow services from the scene, suggesting significant property damage.

The CHP Traffic Incident page also indicates an ambulance was dispatched to the scene, though no information regarding potential injuries has been shared.
