CHP responds to two-vehicle collision on Mesa Rd in Temecula

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A two-vehicle crash was reported late Monday afternoon on Mesa Road in northeast Temecula, according to California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened near the Glen Oaks Road intersection and was first reported by CHP shortly after 3:00 p.m.

Few details have been provided at this time, but a Chevrolet Cruze and a pickup truck were involved. The pickup truck came to a stop in the roadway, blocking multiple lanes, while the Chevrolet came to a rest on the right hand shoulder.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured, but all occupants were able to exit their vehicles.

The CHP traffic incident page indicated the Chevrolet was left inoperable, suggesting significant vehicle damage. Two tow trucks were en route to the scene.
