Driver evaluated for DUI after car hits several parked vehicles in Santee

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — A man was sent to a hospital for a DUI evaluation after a crash involving multiple parked vehicles late Sunday in Santee, reports ABC10 News.

Authorities said the incident unfolded in the 9500 block of Mast Boulevard, in the city’s Carlton Hills neighborhood, at about 11:45 p.m.

Footage recovered from a nearby security camera shows a car striking one end of a row of four vehicles parked in the area. The impact caused one vehicle to overturn in front of a residence.

The driver, who initially claimed to have been cut off by another vehicle prior to the wreck, was transported to a local hospital to be assessed for possible impairment.
