Driver taken to jail for DUI after crash in Chula Vista

SAN DIEGO, CA – Alcohol was a factor in a single-vehicle accident reported in Chula Vista on Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle crashed in the 7400 block of Otay Lakes Road at about 4:45 p.m. and was left blocking at least one lane.

When firefighters and police arrived, they discovered that the driver had been drinking. He was transported to the country jail.

Initial reported indicated that no other vehicles were involved in the accident and, thankfully, no one was injured by the drunk driver.
