DUI suspect crashes vehicle into parked car at Ramona intersection

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — A suspected impaired driver crashed their vehicle into a parked car late Friday morning in central Ramona, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Raymond Avenue and Ramona Street, in an area south of State Route 67 (Main Street). It was first reported by another party shortly after 11:30 a.m.

A witness told officials that a male driver crashed a dark gray vehicle into a small four-door sedan, believed to be a Honda Accord, that was parked in the area.

The witness said the causing driver, who reportedly appeared to be under the influence, left a note in the victim vehicle’s windshield.

The CHP Traffic Incident Information Page later indicated that the suspect called to report the crash.

No injuries and no arrests were immediately reported.
