El Cajon, CA-2 People Dead In Head-On Crash Along Lyons Valley Road

A GMC Sonoma and a Jeep Wrangler were involved in a head-on collision crash along Lyons Valley Road on Sunday night, June 2, 2019, just a few minutes before 11:50 pm. The accident reportedly occurred near Jamul, CA. 2 people were reportedly killed in the accident. The crash occurred west of Reservoir Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol. A 19-year old man from Lemon Grove was reportedly the driver of the GMC vehicle. The said vehicle had another 19-year old woman sitting in the vehicle’s passenger seat. The male driver was driving his car eat when it reportedly crossed into an oncoming traffic and crashed head on to the Jeep. The driver of the Jeep was an 18 year old woman. This vehicle had three teenage passengers. The occupants of the GMC died on the spot at the accident site, according to California Highway Patrol officer, Tommy Doerr. The occupants of the Jeep only sustained minor injuries. The identities of the people involved in the accident were not immediately released. The crash is still under investigation.
