Injuries reported after motorcycle crash on SR-52 near Santee

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — Minor injuries were reported Thursday afternoon after a truck hit a motorcycle on State Route 52 near northwest Santee, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported on the eastbound lanes west of Exit 13 to Mast Boulevard. Troopers were dispatched to the scene shortly before 3:32 p.m.

Officials did not immediately share the sequence of events leading up to the wreck, but the CHP traffic incident page indicates the rider was able to stand up and walk around in the aftermath.

Though minor injuries were reported in the event, it was unclear whether the victim was transported to a hospital.

At least one lane was blocked during the emergency response.

No charges have been reported, and no further details have been released at this time.
