LSU Coach’s Sister Dies in Louisiana Car Accident

Ann Hope Browne‚ of Zachary‚ Louisiana and sister of Louisiana State University (LSU) head football coach Les Miles was killed on Friday‚ April 22‚ 2011‚ around 12:30 p.m. when she was trying to merge from Sugar Mill Plantation Parkway onto the southbound lane of La. 1.  The accident was reported upon by the Addis Assistant Police Chief David Jones and the West Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office.

Reportedly‚ Browne turned onto the highway with her 2007 Nissan Sentra when it was struck by a southbound Dodge Ram pickup truck.  The truck struck the truck on the driver’s side‚ leaving Browne dead at the scene.

Our hearts go out to Browne’s family‚ including Coach Miles‚ for their loss.  The loss of human life from a traffic accident is always heartbreaking.  We hope that they find the love and support of their friends and family in this time of need.
