Man fatally hit by vehicle while pushing cart across Mission Valley road

SAN DIEGO, CA — A man died early Saturday after a pedestrian crash in San Diego’s Mission Valley East neighborhood, according to ABC10 News.

San Diego Police Department officials said the fatal incident occurred in the 700 bock of Camino de la Reina at about 1:50 a.m.

An early investigation shows the victim was pushing a shopping across the road, outside of a designated crosswalk. While mid-block, he was struck by a 2003 Chevrolet Spark driven by a 27-year-old man.

The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed at this time, was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed officials.

No charges have been reported as of this writing, and no further details have been provided.
