Man hospitalized after paraglider crash on Fiesta Island

SAN DIEGO, CA – A man was sent to the hospital after his paraglider crashed on Fiesta Island yesterday afternoon, according to information from FOX 5 San Diego.

The collision happened on the northern side of Fiesta Island before 2:40 p.m., after he experienced a stall in his powered paraglider. His parachute then reportedly came out while he was still in the air and he fell about 20 feet.

The victim, identified only as a man in his 60s, was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Bystanders were credited with helping call for assistance after the incident.
