Man left with life-threatening injuries after being abandoned after crash in Mission Bay

SAN DIEGO, CA – A man was sent to the hospital with severe injuries after being abandoned by his group in the aftermath of a rollover crash in Mission Bay Friday night, according to FOX 5 San Diego.

The crash happened on Quivira Way, near SeaWorld Drive and Mission Bay Drive, at about 9 p.m., when the driver of a white 2005 Toyota Corolla appears to have been unable to round a curve in the roadway. The vehicle then collided in a grassy area off the side of the road and overturned onto its roof.

Three of the vehicle’s four occupants fled the scene on foot, leaving a severely injured passenger behind.

The male victim was sent to the hospital with multiple life-threatening injuries, including several broken facial bones.

The crash remains under investigation at this time. Those with any information about the collision are asked to contact the San Diego Police Department or report anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
