Medics respond to multi-car crash on I-805 in Torrey Hills

SAN DIEGO, CA — A multi-vehicle collision was reported Thursday afternoon on Interstate 805 near San Diego’s Torrey Hills area, reports the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on the southbound lanes north of Sorrento Valley Boulevard. It was first reported by the CHP shortly before 4:00 p.m.

Details are limited, but authorities indicated four vehicles were involved, including a maroon Lexus sedan that came to rest in the far left lane.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was seriously injured, but an ambulance was requested at the scene.

Tow crews also responded to the area, suggesting significant property damage to at least one car.
