Mojave Desert Rear-End Car Collision on I-15 Injures Two

39-year-old driver Houston Ma and 41-year-old Keona Y. Lau suffered severe injuries in a car collision that occurred on December 2, 2011, around 5:05 p.m. along Interstate 15 (I-15) near Baker, along northbound lanes near Zzyzx Road.

According to California Highway Patrol officers, the 2011 Chevy SUV that the two victims were in slammed into a 2000 Kenworth truck driven by 44-year-old Darrin B. Simkins. Ma and Lau suffered serious injuries and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the truck driver escaped unhurt in this wreck.
