Motorcycle crash closes two lanes on I-15 SB near Miramar

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities were called to a wreck involving a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 15 near San Diego’s Miramar area, according to Caltrans San Diego.

The collision occurred on the southbound interstate at Exit 11 to State Route 52. It was first recorded by Caltrans at 3:13 p.m.

While the circumstances of the crash were not disclosed, the left two lanes were blocked for nearly 40 minutes, causing delays for afternoon commuters.

By 3:50 p.m., crews had cleared the scene and all lanes were reported reopened.

Local agencies have not confirmed any major injuries at this time.
