Multi-vehicle wreck reported on Sunrise Hwy near Mt. Laguna

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — A multi-vehicle accident was reported Tuesday afternoon on Sunrise Highway near Big Laguna Trailhead in Mount Laguna, according to California Highway Patrol.

The accident was reported at 11203 Sunrise Highway shortly after 3:00 p.m.

According to CHP, three vehicles were involved, including a black Honda Accord, a navy blue Jeep Cherokee, and a black Honda Odyssey.

It was unclear what led up to the crash, but an earlier update suggested one vehicle came to rest on the shoulder after possibly colliding with a pole and parked car.

An ambulance was called to the scene, indicating likely injuries to at least one party.

Two tow trucks were en route to clear at least two vehicles, including the Honda, which was left inoperable.

At 4:47 p.m., CHP projected a one-hour clearance time.
