One dead after head-on crash in Santa Ysabel
SAN DIEGO, CA – The driver of a Ford Transit van lost their life in a head-on traffic collision on State Route 79 in rural Santa Ysabel on Monday morning.
According to Fox News San Diego, the 2018 Ford Transit T250 was driving south of SR-79 when it crossed into oncoming traffic. It struck a 2007 Ford F450 south of SR-76 at about 9 a.m.
The 62-year-old driver of the van died. Their identity is expected to be released after the family has been notified.
The other driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Palomar Medical Center.
