One dead, one airlifted following San Bernardino Co. collision

APPLE VALLEY, CA (SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY) – One person died and another was airlifted to the hospital following a three-car collision Friday morning in the Victor Valley area, according to Victor Valley News.

The accident happened a little before 11 a.m. near Ramona Avenue, at Central Road, when three vehicles – a blue 2000 Toyota Camry, a gray 2013 Toyota Tacoma, and an undescribed third car – collided.

The Camry’s driver died at the scene of the collision.

One of the occupants from the Tacoma was airlifted to the hospital after being declared a trauma alert.

Police have not yet made the identities of the victims and the circumstances of the collision available.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident, which led to the closure of Central Road for a few hours. Potential witnesses are asked to contact the Major Accident Investigation Team at 760-240-7400.
