One injured in collision on E Carmel St near CSU San Marcos

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — At least one person was hurt Tuesday morning in a vehicle crash near California State University San Marcos, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

The accident happened in the 100 block of East Carmel Street, off of California Highway 78. It was first reported by the SDCSD at 8:10 a.m.

Details are limited, but traffic deputies were at the scene conducting an investigation.

Minor injuries were reported, but it was unclear whether anyone had to be transported to a hospital.

A section of the road was closed between Campus Way and South Twin Oaks Valley Road. The public was asked to avoid the area.
