Pedestrian struck, killed by driver in Lake Murray

LAKE MURRAY, CA – ABC10 News reports that a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a driver in Lake Murray on Friday.

Authorities say the accident took place shortly after 1:00 a.m. near the intersection of Mission Gorge Road and Royal Gorge Drive. A male pedestrian was reportedly walking in a dark part of the roadway when a driver of a 2013 Toyota Prius traveling westbound on Mission Gorge crashed into him.

The pedestrian was given CPR at the scene by first responders, but was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries to his hand in the crash.

No other details have been released at this time. We will update this post as further information becomes available.
