Pedestrian struck, killed by driver on I-5 NB in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA, CA – According to ABC10 News, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a driver on I-15 NB in Chula Vista overnight on Thursday.

The crash was reported around 3:00 a.m. just north of Main Street. Authorities say the pedestrian was walking in the northbound traffic lanes when they were struck by a driver. The pedestrian was then subsequently struck by additional vehicles and suffered repeated injuries.

The pedestrian was killed in the accident and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver who initially struck the pedestrian pulled over at the scene and waited for first responders to arrive. The driver was not injured in the crash.
