Rollover truck crash blocks lane on I-5 near Camp Pendleton North

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — A truck overturned Tuesday afternoon, closing a right lane on Interstate 5 near Camp Pendleton North, according to Caltrans San Diego.

The accident happened on the northbound lanes north of the California Highway Patrol San Onofre Inspection Facility. It was first recorded by Caltrans at 1:02 p.m.


Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the wreck at this time, but the closure remained in place for over an hour and a half.

By 2:42 p.m., crews had cleared the scene and all lanes were reported reopened.


No information on the condition of the driver has been shared.
