San Jose- Boy Thrown From Car Killed 1.5 Miles Away From The Intersection Of Monterey Road And Bailey Avenue

A little boy was thrown from a vehicle and killed in a crash in San Jose early Thursday morning, June 6, 2019. The car reportedly crashed into a cement guardrail and spun out, police said. A few minutes before 3:45 am, the 1999 gold Toyota Camry was travelling north along Monterey Road at Palm Avenue when it started to drift into the southbound lanes and truck the guardrail in the roadway’s median. The little boy was thrown out of the rear passenger seat after the car spun out. The boy was declared dead on the spot at the crash site. The Camry then ran into another guardrail at the side of the road. A witness tried to stop the vehicle. However, the car continued to fled north in the southbound lanes, according to police. California Highway Patrol officers stopped the vehicle about 1.5 miles away from the intersection of Monterey Road and Bailey Avenue. The officer detained the male driver and another male passenger. Both of the identities of the two men were not immediately released. According to investigators, they believe that alcohol and/or drugs were factors that caused the crash. The identity of the boy killed in the crash was not immediately released, either.
