Santa Rosa- 1 Person Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Crash On River Road

1 person was killed in a crash involving 3 vehicles on River Road in Santa Rosa on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. The crash was reported to authorities at 1:21 pm, east of Olivet Road. A silver Hyundai Santa Fe was headed east on River Road when the driver crossed into an oncoming lane for an unknown reason, according to the California Highway Patrol spokesman, David de Rutte. The said vehicle sideswiped a white Ford Ranger pick up headed west. A white Honda CR-V travelling west behind the Ford Ranger seemed to have avoided the oncoming Hyundai after it struck the Ford Ranger, however, was unable to. The CR-V’s female driver was reportedly killed in the crash. The female driver was the only occupant of the said vehicle. A man and a woman in the silver Hyundai sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital so that they could be treated.
