Search continues for hit-and-run driver who injured father

SAN DIEGO, CA – Police have released a description of the car that pinned a 47-year-old father to his vehicle in a hit-and-run near Redwood Village on Sunday.

The man was loading his 7-year-old child into the back of his Toyota Corolla in the parking lot of Food 4 Less on University Avenue when the accident happened on Sunday afternoon. The driver of a silver Saturn Vue hit the father, pinning him to his car for about 10 seconds. The driver then fled the scene, but not before hitting another car in the lot.

Police have released a description of the car, noting that it sustained damage to the left front turn signal and left bumper. They are hoping to turn up more leads in their continued search for the hit-and-run driver. Anyone with information concerning the accident is encouraged to reach out to local authorities.
