Speeding motorcyclist crashed on Coronado Bridge

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcyclist crashed after speeding into another vehicle near the Coronado Bridge on Tuesday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.

A motorcyclist was going too fast on Interstate 5 southbound in the area south of the bridge and driving between lanes. The bike had continued onto the bridge when it rear-ended another vehicle at about 5:40 a.m. The accident apparently caused enough damage to the bike that the motorcycle was leaking oil on the road from the crash.

An ambulance responded to the scene of the crash, but details about any injuries have not been released. We will update this story should more information come to light.
