Traffic News: Reminder of closures

SAN DIEGO, CA – The California Department of Transportation reminded the public that they will be closing the eastbound SR-11 to northbound SR-125 connector ramp late Wednesday from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

This closure is a part of the SR-11/Otay Mesa East Port of Entry project. This project will create an updated border crossing for San Diego and the Baja California region. The port of entry will have an emphasis on smart and green technologies. This building will also improve air quality.

Tonight’s work will close the eastbound SR-11 to the northbound SR-125 connector ramp. The workers will complete the overhead bridge structures. The closure will last from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists are advised they can use the La Media offramp as a detour to the northbound SR-125.
