Transit News: Blue Line service back on track

SAN DIEGO, CA – The Metropolitan Transit System announced today that the Blue Line service from Downtown to San Ysidro is back to its regular schedule.

The Blue Line is one of the busier lines of the MTS.

The coronavirus impacted the MTS, like it has other transportation systems throughout the United States.

As regulations have begun to dissipate, more people are in need of the transportation service.

The MTS plans to increase service by the end of the month.

While masks are required for riders and they have stepped up their sanitation protocols, experts believe crowded trains may put riders at risk of contracting the disease.

Good news for anyone who takes the trolley: Blue Line service between Downtown and San Ysidro is fully back on track, with trolleys running every 7.5 minutes. @sdmts says it plans to step-up bus service by the end of the month.
