Two hurt in solo-car rollover on Old Hwy 395 near Fallbrook

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — Two people were injured, one critically, Thursday evening in a single-vehicle accident on Old Highway 395 near Fallbrook, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.

The crash occurred near Sterling View Drive, just east of Interstate 15, at about 6:40 p.m.

North County Fire Protection District crews and California Highway Patrol responded to the scene, where a vehicle appeared to have run off the roadway and gone up an embankment before flipping multiple times on its way back down.

Fire crews performed a rescue extrication for two people trapped in the wreckage.

One suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.

The second victim declined medical treatment at the scene but was ultimately taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
