U-Haul overturns, causing delays on I-15 NB near Sabre Springs

SAN DIEGO, CA — A rollover crash involving a U-Haul truck Thursday morning blocked two right lanes on Interstate 15 in San Diego’s Sabre Springs area, reports FOX 5 San Diego.

The accident impacted the northbound interstate just before Exit 19 to State Route 56, or Ted Williams Parkway. By 9:30 a.m., authorities had the two lanes closed to traffic.

No information on the circumstances of the wreck has been disclosed, but the U-Haul big rig was fully loaded when it rolled onto its side and came to rest on a hillside along the roadway.

At the time the lane closure was announced, traffic had backed up to the Miramar area.

Caltrans officials said they expected the lanes to remain blocked for an extended time as crews worked the scene.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
