SAN DIEGO, CA – More details have emerged about a vehicle crash on Interstate 805 early Monday that injured one and led to an abandoned vehicle.
The initial CHP report mentioned a woman who left the scene and was taken to the hospital by a good Samaritan, while the car was left at the bottom of the hill.
Times of San Diego reported that CHP found the abandoned vehicle and, after hearing the description of the suspect’s vehicle in reports of a nearby shooting, determined they were the same.
The shooting happened at about 7:10 a.m. on South 39th Street close to Logan Avenue. The suspect left in the car and crashed it on the connector between I-805 and Route 54 just before 7:20 a.m.
There is no description of the suspect at this time. The woman’s connection to the incident remains unclear.
