UPDATE: I-8 accident victim taken to hospital, delays expected

SAN DIEGO, CA – The person injured in the single-vehicle accident at I-8 E and SR-163 S has been taken to the hospital, CHP logs now show. A traffic sign is in place warning motorists that there is an accident in the area and that they should be prepared to stop.

A tow truck operated by Loyal Towing has arrived at the scene. Normal traffic should be restored when the wreck is cleared.

Attentive readers may also notice that CHP has changed their earlier determination that the accident occurred on the ramp leading from eastbound I-8 to northbound SR-163. They now say that the collision occurred on the ramp leading from southbound SR-163 to eastbound I-8.

Further updates should not be necessary.
