Woman crashes car into wall of Rancho Bernardo home garage

SAN DIEGO, CA — Crews responded to a residence Sunday morning after a woman crashed her car through the wall of her garage in San Diego’s Rancho Bernardo area, according to ABC10 News.

The incident occurred on the 15600 block of Caminito La Torre at approximately 9:20 a.m.

The woman, who owns the single-story home, told the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department her car was having brake problems when it accelerated into the wall.

Officials found the accident impacted a nearby bedroom, struck a water heater, and caused a gas leak.

Crews with San Diego Gas & Electric arrived on scene to repair the leak. A city building inspector and a structural engineer were also present to check on the safety of the structure.

No injuries have been reported in the accident.
