Woman falls out of moving vehicle, run over in Emerald Hills

SAN DIEGO, CA — A woman was seriously hurt Sunday afternoon when she fell out of a pickup truck and was run over by the vehicle in San Diego’s Emerald Hills, reports OnScene.TV.

The incident took place on the Euclid Avenue bridge over California Highway 94 and was first reported by OnScene.TV at 12:30 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates a silver Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling southbound on the overpass when, for reasons still unknown, a female passenger dropped out of the moving vehicle and landed on the ground, hitting her head. The pickup, driven by the woman’s husband, was reported to have then run over her.

Footage shared by OnScene.TV shows first responders attending to the victim, who appeared to be conscious and able to communicate.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Her condition has not been disclosed.

An investigation was underway to determine whether the victim fell out of the vehicle, jumped out, or was coerced out.
