Woman seriously injured in car accident in a Bay Park intersection

SAN DIEGO, CA – The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that a 59-year-old woman was gravely injured after crashing into a jeep at Clairemont Drive at Rappahannock Avenue on April 9th. The woman’s Toyota Corolla veered left into an intersection and rear-ended a stopped Jeep Wrangler. The force of the crash caused the Jeep to turn over.

Police report that the woman sustained serious injuries and had to be rescued from her vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital. The man in the Jeep suffered minor injuries.

Police are still investigating as to what caused the accident.
