Bicyclist suffers multiple injuries in collision at Pacific Beach intersection

SAN DIEGO, CA – A woman riding an e-bike suffered multiple injuries after being hit by a driver in Pacific Beach on Friday, according to information from PB Monthly.

The collision happened in the 1600 block of Diamond Street near Ingraham Street, when a 48-year-old woman operating a green Yamee electric bicycle crashed into the front fender of a white 2020 Kia Optima headed northbound through the intersection.

The bicyclist sustained multiple injuries, including seven fractured ribs. Her injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening.

The driver, a 30-year-old man, was not injured in the crash.

Authorities do not believe alcohol was involved in the collision and their investigation continues at this time.
