Injuries reported after hit-and-run crash in Colina Del Sol

SAN DIEGO, CA — At least one person was reported injured early Wednesday evening after a hit-and-run collision in San Diego’s Colina Del Sol neighborhood, according to California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Orange Avenue and 51st Street and was first reported by CHP at 4:44 p.m.

Authorities said both parties initially pulled over to the side of the road after one party’s vehicle was struck by another. When the victim party got out of their vehicle, they were said to have been run over by the suspect. The windshield of the suspect vehicle shattered as it pulled away.

Details are limited at this time, but both vehicles were later located in the lot of Euclid Elementary School a few blocks away.

At this time, authorities have not confirmed the number of people hurt or the extent of their injuries.
