Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver in Linda Vista crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a pedestrian in Linda Vista on Friday night, according to the Times of San Diego.

The accident occurred on Linda Vista Road near Genesee Avenue at around 7:45 p.m., as a 53-year-old man was crossing the street. He was then struck by the driver of a dark SUV headed northbound. The driver then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Authorities continue to search for the suspect and their vehicle as they investigate the accident.
