Woman Killed in San Diego Drunk Driving Crash

A 61-year-old woman was killed in a San Diego car accident, which officials suspect involved a suspected drunk driver. According to an NBC San Diego news report, the fatal crash occurred on Carmel Valley Road north of State Route 56 near Camino Del Sur in San Diego. Officials say a 30-year-old man driving a Fiat 500 crossed the center divider and slammed into the victim’s Chevrolet Nova heading in the opposite direction. The woman died at the scene. The driver of the Fiat underwent a roadside sobriety test and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The driver responsible for this tragic San Diego crash will likely face felony manslaughter charges.

Drunk driving continues to be a serious problem in San Diego County.
